paylinea exists to protect people from the financial consequences of bad timing. We take your privacy as seriously as we take your financial wellbeing.
- We never sell your data to anyone, for any reason
- We only have read-only access to your bank data -- we can't move your money
- Your bank credentials are handled by Plaid, not us -- we never see them
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256)
- You can delete your account and all data at any time
Mabintech LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates paylinea, a personal finance app designed to help you never miss a payment and protect your credit. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account info: Email address and password when you sign up
- Preferences: Notification settings and reminder preferences
- Support requests: Any information you share when contacting us
Financial information via Plaid
When you connect your bank accounts, we use Plaid Inc. to securely access your financial data. By using paylinea, you authorize us and Plaid to retrieve:
- Account names, types, and balances
- Transaction history (date, amount, merchant, category)
- Account and routing numbers for verification only

Patterns we detect (not collect)
We analyze your transaction data to detect patterns that help you:
- Income patterns: When you typically get paid (weekly, biweekly, monthly)
- Recurring bills: Subscriptions and regular payments
- Spending habits: Daily averages and category breakdowns
Important: We detect these patterns solely to help time your reminders and calculate your safe-to-spend amount. We do not verify your income for third parties, and we do not make credit decisions based on this data.
Automatic information
- Device info: Device type, operating system, identifiers
- Usage patterns: Features used, time in app
- Push tokens: To send you timely payment reminders
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Find and track your recurring bills automatically
- Detect your income timing to send smarter reminders
- Calculate your "Safe to Spend" amount
- Send reminders timed to when you can actually pay
- Alert you if an expected deposit doesn't arrive
- Generate your financial health score
- Show you where your money is going
- Improve the app and fix issues
- Respond when you reach out for help
Our purpose: Every piece of data we use is designed to help you never miss a payment and protect your credit. That's it. We don't use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.
3. How We Share Your Information
We don't sell your data. Ever.
We may share information only:
- With Plaid: To connect and retrieve your bank data
- Service providers: Email delivery (SendGrid), push notifications (Firebase) -- only what's needed to deliver our service
- When required by law: Court orders or legal requests
- With your consent: When you explicitly approve
4. Security
We protect your information with:
- TLS encryption for all data in transit
- AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive data
- No storage of bank login credentials (handled by Plaid)
- Multi-factor authentication on all systems
- Regular security reviews and monitoring
- Network segmentation and access controls
Data Location
Your data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. By using paylinea, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
5. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account anytime.
When you delete your account:
- Personal data is removed within 30 days
- Bank connections are immediately revoked
- Transaction history is deleted
- Some anonymized data may be retained for legal or security purposes
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Access a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and data
- Disconnect your bank accounts anytime
- Control notifications in your device settings
- Export your data in a portable format

Response time: We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. If we need additional time (up to 45 more days), we will notify you of the reason and extension period.
7. California Residents
Under CCPA, you have the right to:

- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights
